I have ordered/received my New Tiguan

Just got the response from the dealer. There's nothing sinister apparently and I quote "You can pretty much ignore the automated emails
from VW with this particular model Colin", which doesn't always fill you with confidence. Still got an ETA of 16th Oct 2017 at this stage, which has slipped from the original ETA of mid July, given when I ordered the car on March 11th (this was a car the dealer already had on order allegedly). Of course I have no idea if or how long the dealer actually had it on order, so can only continue to wait patiently like everyone else. I see a white R-line the same as I have ordered, every Saturday at the rugby and that just rubs it in a bit.

sounds like BS to me. Why would this model be different to any other in terms of tapping into the production planning systems. Still doesn't explain why the new emails have a different tracking number imbedded in the URL. For all intents and purposes it looks like a new order

I've got the same model/colour on order - would love to see some interior r-line shots (given the different headliner).

Been checking my VIN daily and still nothing, it's been at the docks for a few weeks now. There is a ship still in dock that should have sailed 24th, dunno what that ones doing, next one leaves on the 1st June. With the way it's going, not going to see mine until August now

Until I hear otherwise I'm just hoping its on its way and there's something up with the tracking. Unlikely, I know - but am so excited about it (I have a 6 year old golf - this is a huge upgrade) I'm not willing to countenance the alternative!
