I have ordered/received my New Tiguan

So it didn't go quite as well as I'd hoped I'm down for a July delivery. Did have the clause in the contract and after much deliberations and this being my mid-life crisis car, I thought bugger it, will wait it out and not compromise what I wanted as had toyed with removing Rline from the order or looking for something else. Nothing else in this segment really interested me except for perhaps the new Audi Q2, but feel it'd be to small and not enough go compared to the 162TSI

So the big wait begins.

Keep the pics coming and descriptions of first drives etc, will help pass the time away

That's annoying mate... worth the wait though. Drove most cars in the price range / class and agree, all underwhelming. Number two for me would be the Lexus, but was never going to do that. Porsche/BMW/Land Rover/Merc mini SUVs too much $$ for the value delivered in my opinion!

You never know, someone may cancel and you could be bumped up. I was lucky to call the dealer at the right time and had already heavily negotiated a regional dealer down (for a September delivery) which allowed me to pressure the new dealer (saying I wanted black).

This forum has been a life saver, easy to pass the time!

I have had my new 162tsi for 5 days now and am very happy with it. I have not found anything I don't like or didn't expect. Probably due to the great information from the dedicated VW Tiguan fanatics on this site.
I have one query though, did you get a luggage net included with your new Tiggy?

Hi all, anyone interested that hasn't purchased yet, there is a sub 50k d/away RLine 140TDI available for sale on carsales. Apparently has some hail damage, but the add suggests minor. Worth a look for anyone living in the area. Too far for me, and I've locked in my 162 in any case. Good luck

Hey All,

Just got a call from the dealer to tell me that all highlines have been pushed back. My original delivery was for 2nd week of May & now they are saying its a 2 month delay, so wont get it till 2nd week July!!! WTF! Anyone got the call??

I just went down to speak with my dealer, and asked if there was a delay, so he checked, you are right it's been pushed back , he told me June .

I just got off the phone with my dealer. He said mine was pushed back a month so it's more like end June for it to be ready to be picked up..

No offers. But I didn't want to over the phone. What i did was email him asking for some freebies as at least if he commits I have it on email as proof

My dealer going to give me same freebies.
Plus lve referred heaps of people of this forum to him and he told me he sold a heap of cars.
So he's going to look after me.

My bluetooth stopped working just now and stuck on getting available profiles when i tried to connect. Car bluetooth cant find my phone but my phone can pair and see the car just fine.however the phone option on the car still doesnt work.

Anyone know whats wrong?

Mine did that once just after I got it. I just deleted the connection profile on my phone and in the car then reconnected and it worked and never had a problem since.
