For those who have ordered a highline rline, would you be able to just quickly check your "Follow my journey" webpage and let me know what picture is shown there. Is it a highline picture in your colour of choice or does it show the rline pack on it?

BTW my status is still "I'm ordered" , still waiting for it to change....

Thanks for checking hcvo1! I swear when I first opened the email link months ago, it showed the rline pack on it. Then suddenly it changed and I started freaking out!

I ordered a white 162 R Line with dap and sunroof early September last year. Have an order number but no VIN. Dealer told me it would be late March. Called VWA today, asking for some clarity and an update. My third call to them BTW as no response from my first two calls. They now tell me late May. I've had no email as others have nor can dealer supply me with a VIN. Has anyone ordered an R Line with a sunroof received any info on when they can expect to receive their car. I'm currently looking at a 9 month wait since I signed the dotted line...

I ordered the exact same car as you but I signed the contracts in July last year. I also called VWA and they told me the same thing - May!

I then got a NADCON screen printout from the dealer and the date moved from May to end of March/Early April.

Just a bit frustrating when you see others with similar specs picking up their cars.

Personally I think those update emails are a bit of smoke and mirrors from the marketing department at VW. Basically to keep you 'excited' that progress is happening so you don't pull the pin, cancel your order, and buy another car. I think they're a bit arbitrary and don't necessarily reflect the true nature of your order.

My dealer told me that the production will be in late February.

My dealer told me that it's still on track for late Feb/early March. Looking at the timing, this sounds relatively accurate. They told me it was handed over to Production on 24th December, so looks like it will be finished late January, and on a ship arriving late February and then ready for delivery early March. Until I get the VIN though and am able to track it, I'll never be sure.
