Got the call today

Will finally be collecting my MY19 fully loaded 162tsi highline this Sunday. Has been a decent wait since my original MY18.5 order in July before changing to MY19 build in September (my own fault for wanting the S&V pack)

any tips on what to check at collection?

Awesome, Congrats! Wish I had the S&V pack. Did you end up with a favourable price?

Things I checked were paintwork, glass, all options were there, fuel (paid for full tank), kms on clock, rego paperwork stated 12months, floor mats, toolkit, engine bay, keys x2, manuals and service book.

Dealer spent minimal time with me on the tech coz I said I will sort that myself.

Check some of the things mentioned on forum like Discover Pro crack and park pilot errors. I got a park pilot error and errors with Front Assist when I drove out of showroom. They fixed it but it took over an hour to do that.

thanks portas! im happy with the price. certainly not as sharp as some of the rarer deals (saw someone got a wolfy for 57 odd!) but at 58k with euro plates and a bunch of accessories, im satisfied

the paintwork is probably my biggest concern. ill need to be mindful not to be overawed at the time and check each panel.

good call out on the Screen and Park pilot. i had these in mind also.. will also make sure to test the sensors - thanks for sharing your experience

Picked up my fully loaded white MY19 Tiguan highline today. Put around 90kms on the clock. So far I'm incredibly impressed. The dynaudio sounds amazing. Ride feels firm yet comfortable and takes off rather well when you need it too. It does feel a little sluggish at low revs and the stop start engine feature is a little weird. Never driven a car with it before.

Android auto looks horrible on the big display but have now enabled 720p and 1080p thanks to this forum. Will try it out tomorrow.

Wondering if the sunroof ambient lighting is on this car? It's not visible and i can't enable it in the settings. Anyone know if the physical LED is still installed on the MY19 following the recall?

I'll post some pics in the applicable thread if/when I figure out how to do it.

Yup, Android Auto hack works a treat.

No SD Cards in my car mate and no mention of a 1500km service. There is a sticker on the windscreen that says next service is 15,000 kms or 12 months.

I have bought a 140tdi Allspace Highline, with roof, S&V and towbar. Hope to pick it up towards the end of the week. Was a demo model. Looking forward to the updated safety tech and having a proper towbar for my bike rack. I'm coming from a 2014 Mazda 6 and a couple of Citroens. DSG will be interesting- hopefully not frustrating.

Yeah, there’s no 1,500km service
Motors are already run in
Annual service or 15,000kms are all that’s required
