Hmm. Think I screwed up that reply trying to edit to clarify it was relating to AAWireless.
Summary.
Works well.
But GPS+wifi+Bluetooth = hot phone and noticeable phone battery drain.
Wondering how the apple carplay dongles are going these days. Was thinking of switching back to Apple from Android.Comment

It is connected to the car and the dongle at the same time, so you can make calls via the VW system or AA.

When I go out for a longer drive sometime, I'll compare temp. Probably not much hotter, just noticing/insulating as it's against my leg.
