Black Wolfy with Panoroof on order - Arriving mid Jan......
So the debate continues about the best colour for the Wolfsburg edition! New white pearl, black pearl or indium grey metallic? Initially I wanted to get a black r line (not the Wolfsburg edition as the black and chrome colours work well together). But the new Wolfsburg ed black/black is very very dark. Now I’m leaning towards the indium grey metallic as my first choice??
I went with Indium Grey. For me pearl white from afar looks like regular white, which is not necessarily a bad thing but I think is too common. Black is just too dark for my taste and shows no contrast at all (blackened side mirror caps won’t be noticable). The above photo, which I think is grey, just confirmed that my choice is right
I’m bored and couldn’t find more details on the Wolfsburg. Searched online and found this “Tiguan R” on YouTube. Could this be similar to the upcoming Wolfsburg?

Would be nice if the VW website showed the MY19 build options. Are they waiting till the old stock clears?
This years a little different with the holdups at the factory with WLTP compliance testing backlogs so I think they’ll be holding off a little longer and running down the MY18/18.5 stock.
I suspect you won’t see it there until October is my guess. Check back in this thread or some of the online media as the MY19 specs are published - just not on the VW website....
Has anyone noticed if the MY19's will have DAB+? One thing I wish my MY18 had.
I initially wished mine had DAB but apparently reception on the move can be sketchy. I have fully embraced streaming radio via CarPlay using the iHeart radio app. So many channels and options. Awesome. And better than DAB imho.
MY18.5 Tiguan - R-Line/DAP/Sunroof in Tungsten Silver
Hi team - I’ve just received two different quotes for a MY19 Tiguan 162 (w/ sound and vision pack and r-line) and the new Tiguan Wolfsburg. The price difference is $2,600.
To my mind the additions for that amount are:
-Heads up display
-Black exterior trim enhancements
-90% rear window tint
Does anyone reckon those extra items are worth 2.6k? Doesn’t sound like it?
