Map update?

The update I got last night from the official website linked below had ROW 2019???

Volkswagen Map & Softwareupdates

Which unit are you using makes a huge difference to what you download and what answers you get

Also presumably we are talking about the correct vehicle seeing this it the Tiguan MK 2 forum

I have a a discover Pro and details are

The file name for the Discover Pro is P79_N60S5MIBH3_ROW is 23Gb If you saved the zip file look in your downloads Ive downloaded both it and the one on the Skoda site and they are the same thing

For the Discover Media the file name is MRM3_1310_V11.7z Is 4.3Gb

PS I dont use Discover Care to download them

It's great that you get free map updates unlike so many other brands that are either static or charge $500 for an update

I've downloaded the new update my Discovery Pro but how do you install the new update on to it? Do you unzip the file or leave zipped?

You either do it with Discover Care which puts the correct stuff straight onto an SD card or you unzip the files to a folder and put the CONTENTS of that folder in the root directory of the SD card.

Lucky then you arent 78 like me. Just use Discover Care then. Cant get any simpler than that.

But then Apple users do have difficulties with real progams. LOL

Discover care didnt give me the latest maps.

I had to manually download the maps file and update it.

I'm pretty sure I did it right.

If you did it in the last week Discover Care would give you the latest map as it was updated ibefore the 15th of the month.

But if you followed what I said you would have got it ok I actually had it on the 2nd of the month off the Skoda site.

Doscover Pro.

It doesnt matter as the manual uodate worked.

Same here, the software didn’t give me the latest map(76, not 79) I had to download the files direct.

I have discover pro 2 (9.2”) maybe that’s enough of a difference in the release on the website?

Yes well thats weird last week I thought i used Discover care but obviously I didnt as I d/loaded 79 twice and looking at it a few minutes ago via Discover care it give latest update as 76. Crazy but not hard to do the other way

Hi mate was wondering if you could possibly send me a link to POI,s and map updates . Just bought a 162 17 Rline tig. I'm guessing it's discover media as has the dials not full touch.
Is there a SD card in the car somewhere?

The links are in reply 102 and 105. WHen you open them follow instructions

There should be SD slots in the car probably in the glovebox where that hardly ever read book resides

You need to provide your own SD card unless your unit uses a VW one..
