Going in for some loving in well known hands this week
, so decided not to mess with wiring and put off the camera install.
Gave it a wash instead, loving it so far .....

Sourced some OEM VW sidesteps for a good price .... problem was they were in chrome and not suited to the Red/Back colour scheme .....
So, I plastidipped them black and fitted up this morning

In working with the tuner (s?) I'd prefer to assist in providing a base for a stg 1 tune (so totally stock to start with), with then a base for a stg 2 tune immediately after. Makes it easier to sell to more than 1 customer I hope which may bring down the cost of the development work for all involved ....Originally posted by brad View Post

Yeah! I would not surprise about intercooler size considering VW only intend to produce 118 kW from the engine originally. Also being manual and going for K04 could that be a issue with the clutch? I can see you have to explore many new frontiers during this build

I'm really interested to hear your result with the intercooler. If it's anything like mine it will make a massive difference to a stage 2 car to go from the 32mm core to something more substantial. I suspect the 32mm core causes a reasonable restriction to the air flow and removing this restriction frees things up and you essentially get "free" powerOriginally posted by Sharkie View PostYeah stock unit is the 32mm one.
