Hey guys, a quick question for those with DAP on 7.5. Do blind spot Monitoring and rear traffic alert stay when you start the car after turning ignition off? For me, those two options get reset after I leave the ignition off for sometime (not if I start immediately after turning off ignition). I wasn't sure if it's something to do with personalisation and hence tried with personalisation off. But that didn't help either. Any thoughts on how I can save the settings for those two options?

It may be saved on the key. Set it the way you want it then manually force it to save to the key. Or set the save to key to automatic.

Afaik, personalisation is for drivers not keys.

Mk7.5 Golf - News and Discussion Thread

Ok, the problem is weirder than I thought! So I enable blind spot monitoring and rear traffic alert, switch off the ignition. I switch on the ignition and it remembers that I had enabled those two features. So far so good.

Now if I engage reverse gear, I get a message saying rear cross traffic alert and blind spot Monitoring currently unavailable and the two features get disabled and I think park pilot gets enabled. Now instead of engaging reverse gear after turning on ignition, if I engage D and drive forward, no problem. Blind spot and rear traffic alert stay enabled.

Any idea what is going on?

One more question folks. The user manual says that there are multiple modes of operation for reverse camera (mode 1 - perpendicular parking, mode 2 - parallel parking, mode 3 - trailer support and mode 4 - rear cross traffic view). When I engage the reverse gear, I don't seem to get these options. Wondering if others have these options. Thanks in advance.

It really only counts if you live smack-bang in the middle of Sydney. There is no digital coverage for regional areas at all.

My AMP is Pioneer GM-D8601 600w Amp
And for the sub a Focal SBP30 12" Sub
