Mine got them last night. So deliberating how much I can push the price down or hold off once the heat goes down on them. It's quite high and too close to other cars I'm considering.

Your deal got prices? Which dealership u with?
Been the end of month you might be able to get a bit off, but l would expect not to much.

How long more to go if I may ask? I've got the same vw email (I presume) and now is all down to the wait game.

They said Sept/Oct delivery. They'll be able to lock it down soon. Build hasn't happened yet. Can't wait for my fully loaded R

Guys the dealers definitely have access to the GTI/R prices. The second one I went to had no idea so I told him to get his act together, 24 hours later they had a quote for me too.

Just got a response from my sales guy, build orders from Monday 29/5. BUt I have not got pricing yet... very strange.

EDIT: R7.5, with sunroof, driver assist just under 65K, without driver assist just over 63K...

How low can they go?

Anyone negotiated or been quoted a price for the Wolfsburg Edition R 7.5? If the stock R is hitting 65k or so, the Wolfie seems like its getting a bit out of hand price wise for me now....

My mate who works for Vw, said they will be around 68-69k , but yet to be confirm.

May I ask what else you're considering? Every time I think about it, it seems crazy to fork over 60k on a golf, but can’t seem to find anything else worth considering in the price range.

Also, is anyone able to confirm what colours we’re getting (for the R)? Do they give you the option when you pre-order?

For the price I've been offered I could get a demo M140 which I test drove and loved the sound of it.

I have a vague recollection from my chat with the dealer that the colours are down to white, black, lapis blue is the only blue available, silver, grey which is the current Passat - not limestone or whatever they called it, and there is one more like a pearl white or could be a derivative of the silver.

I agree that paying $60k+ puts it similar pricing to m140i and S3.

Just for reference leasing company priced S3 sedan, M140i and MK7R for us and both the BMW and Audi were 57k and MK7R was 54. ($33 a f/t) more for Audi sedan so we went that way.

So both Audi and BMW had almost 25% off RRP compared to about 10% by VW.

I think if you want better prices with the 7.5 need to wait until they're been out few months. I went through it in 2014. When MK7R released, they Wouldn't do corporate or much discount but after 3 months they would and I got 10% off.

I'm in a similar boat. I'm going in tomorrow to put a deposit (subject to pricing) on a 7.5 R Wolfsburg. They said they don't have pricing yet for the R or Wolfsburg and expect to get stock in October.

Aren't prices here as announced May 5, except for Wolfsburg?
