Really? I had made a deposit to put me in line for one of the first orders 3 months ago but as yet to go through negotiations to order as the prices apparently are not fully approved (which I think is BS).

Prices ARE KNOWN. I got this on a specific car I asked on:

White Golf Comfortline DSG will be $32,346 Drive Away.
The infotainment pack is $2,300.
DAP is $1500.

I presume that to be 6 months LIC/REGO/SDuty

So, prices are out there.

every car manufacturer in the country is doing 12 months

I ordered mine last week, email from VW confirming received on Tuesday.

How long more to go if I may ask? I've got the same vw email (I presume) and now is all down to the wait game.

Mine's for a gti and i have already signed the contract (subjected to test drive). Was told by dealer that it has been scheduled for production and should be due here end of august or early September. No specific dates yet though.

Just got a response from my sales guy, build orders from Monday 29/5. BUt I have not got pricing yet... very strange.

EDIT: R7.5, with sunroof, driver assist just under 65K, without driver assist just over 63K...

How low can they go?

If mine is anything to be judged on not much wriggle room in a new model preorder if you want to really haggle will have to wait for stock on floor and driveaway deals later prob much later in year

I'm in a similar boat. I'm going in tomorrow to put a deposit (subject to pricing) on a 7.5 R Wolfsburg. They said they don't have pricing yet for the R or Wolfsburg and expect to get stock in October.

Mine got them last night. So deliberating how much I can push the price down or hold off once the heat goes down on them. It's quite high and too close to other cars I'm considering.
