Hi all, I noticed that my 110tsi 7spd DSG golf has extreme clutch slip in sport mode from a standing start in first gear only. I'm unsure if this is normal behaviour due to being in sports mode however I don't notice any clutch slip in normal mode.

Has anyone experienced this?
Hey Ahsee ...
knowing how much higher the DSGs like the revs in sport mode (+2000 cf normal) and having watched many hard launches on the 'Tube, your observation is not surprising. It seems the 'box engages the clutch at a rate slow enough to hold the revs between 3 and 4 thou for at least 2 Missisipis until the car's speed catches up, then fully engages.
But you could always record it on your 'phone, full video or just sound, and upload a link for us. ....

Thats very unusual is it shuddering or just slipping?
Strange that it does it in sport mode but is ok in normal
I feel like mine is slipping sometimes but its just changing up very quickly to 2nd gear they only hold 1st till about 8ks a hour

Thanks for the replies guys.
I don't get any shuddering. What I notice whrn in sport mode is that I need at least 50% throttle to get moving from a standstill, whereas in normal mode the car will move off with no throttle input.
I'll try get a video over the weekend to show the issue.
When in Eco, anyone noticed when the coasting just disengages the gearbox compared to motor shutdown altogether ? Mine seems to go back and forth.

Mine disengages when coasting. Only shuts off at complete stop.
I've definitely got a complete shutdown when I lift off the gas. It's an eerie silence, then engine re-starts as soon as I touch the anchor.
