Just curious has any one got this activated in Australia?





Apparently needs to be done by VW tech, Using Factory Scan tool (Not VCDS), And a unique code/Pin from VW support

yep its only for MY16 but not activated from factory, I found this thread on how to activate it, not sure if anyone in Australia has got this done yet.

I asked me dealer about it last week when dropping it for a new drivers window controller (auto up not working) and the guy sent VW in Germany an email asking for info about it. Haven't heard back from him yet, will follow up later today.

I enquired last week. After emailing Deutschland VW Stated if it can't be initiated as standard that it can't be done. Bummer........

i asked fivedock vw and they are looking it, hopefully they can do it because im sure they the same tools in the USA as they do here.

One of the few reasons I would consider an aftermarket Android based head unit is so I could run Torque Pro to get guages like that.

All the information is just sitting there in the computer so it's a shame it's not something you can display on that screen! But I suppose it's good to see that it's available in some/new models?

No dice from my dealer (not a great explanation as to why either). Will try another one soon but from the other US-based forum it looks like VW have stopped enabling it for some reason anyway.
