I did message my dealer on Friday to give my concerns.
He called me back to say the car fell off the boat... He was trying to be funny.
But no, all he told me was that the car was released off the boat on Tuesday September 26 (which matches WWL tracking that says "Delivered From" on that date at 13:34) but the ship actually docked on the 22nd about 9.30pm (and departed for Sydney on the next day).
He said it hasn't had it's compliance plates stamped and couldn't tell me whether it had cleared customs or not. I assume it has but not sure. Not really sure what the "Delivered From" status means on the tracking site.
He said he reckons it should arrive by Tuesday hopefully and then pickup by Friday.

Not sure what to make of it, I will be taking a fridge magnet to the pickup and making sure there is no putty in the car and I will cancel if there is! Lol

Gonna call WWL on Monday and see if they will advise whether the car has cleared customs or not.

Yeah that sucks hopefully you get it shortly and there is no issues..

Sounds like it might be with Patricks (IIRC they handle Oz ADR & compliance plate fitting).

Well, after waiting for over 40 minutes at my local VW dealer I still don't know what the part # is. It seems that when they look it up on their computer system it simply doesn't show any Wolfsburg badge at all. And yes, my car does have one, and this is the dealer that sold it to me 18 days ago. I wonder if it is something made up by/for VW Australia, and VW Germany know nothing about it ?

They have told me that they will ask "VW assistance" (whatever that is) for help & advice, and get back to me. I'll let you know whatever and whenever they get back to me. In the meantime, don't hold your breath while you wait.

I've just checked ETKA and it doesn't seem like you can get it. I even tried with a Wolfsburg R VIN. I'd imagine VW did it on purpose, so apart from aftermarket, I don't think you can get one genuine mate.

Interesting if someone with a wolfie gets rear ended and requires repairs. Tell me they can't get a replacement badge in that instance... I find that hard to accept.

Anyone on here a smash repairer that can shed light on this one?

Since the badge is mounted original on the car when delivered,
Then it is also a VW original detail and is orderable and shoud have a VW part #.

I would be quite annoyed if my wolfsburg badge got stolen, and if VW c/wouldn't sell me a replacement badge then I would be pointing out to them rather firmly that in Australia manufacturers and importers are required by law (ACCC) to provide spare parts for a reasonable time.

We shall see what happens.....

There is a white woofy wagon no roof at gerald slaven volkswagen in canberra if anyone is in the hunt for one still ☺

That's funny, when I went into there a while back asking about a Golf R wagon they told me that they thought there wouldn't be any wagons available until next year, but they'd ring me back after checking on it. They never did get back to me so I ordered one from the other Canberra VW dealer - Lennocks (who did know what was happening and was quite keen to sell me one with early delivery).

I was the first one to order a woof from gerald slaven they told me there was three two hatchs 1 wagon by the end they were all sold few weeks later wagon rocks up and i was like umm how did that get here before mine. Anyways looks like wagon ended up not selling and is still forsale at this point.
