I have also been told from a few dealers that there is a global shortage on the active info display and that is what is causing the delay.
However, I find it a bit strange that a week after I ordered my R, my dealer said the car is currently being built and he gave me the vin (non Wolfsburg R).
So either I'm lucky in securing a build so quickly or he is spinning me bs to keep me happy because according to limitededs post, my build and delivery times will be a lot quicker than his (ETA mid October delivery for me).
I guess for this to be true, the car will have to be on the ship no later than late August. Time will tell.

I'm guessing the % of golf R's coming are not the allocated wolfies. Which if you were happy with a hatch and didn't care about the added extras you might as well have gone for a non Wolfsburg.

If you're looking at october delivery, you would probably have to have it on the ship by the 21st aug.

Mine is at the docks today, then loaded on the ship and leaving next monday

Ship will dock 2/10
Car will be at importer on 3/10
then will go to dealer and then delivery.

Not sure how many ships they have leaving.

Its basically a breakdown of stages of delivery, and dates.

Showing when the boat leaves and docks in the arriving country, and all the build stages

Does anyone know what colour the middle section is for the Carbon Nappa Leather seats for the Wolfie?
Is it a darker shade of grey?
My mind is now racing on whether I should swap to the Wolfsburg edition or not. Reckon I'll regret it if I don't. just not sure if I can wait till Jan.

I actually think the 2 tone colour is better, it doesn't make the inside so dark and colours it up a bit.

Yeah which is why I was a bit annoyed when they made leather standard on the R; I preferred the non-leather interior for the 2-tone seat trim.

Currently have a 7.5 wolfsburg hatch on order, deposit placed some time in June.

Got the call today to confirm, that Wolfsburgs arrive in Aus in two batches, one in December and one in February. Yet to find out which my ones in, should find out today or tomorrow.

Did anyone else with a pre-order hear anything else or similar?

I've been told my wagon is pencilled in for December

My Wolfsburg wagon is due to arrive at the port of Melbourne this morning at 11am. The ship was last tracked just outside the heads. Should have delivery within a few weeks.

My dealer has been terribly quiet as well regarding delivery times, I take it you've ordered a sunroof Wolfie? Would really like to know as Feb is just too far for me at this point.

I didn't get that info. I was given a commission number only having pushed VWA customer service and said that late Jan build and possibly March delivery. Not Feb.
