    Hopefully yes on both counts!

Auto tailgate would be nice too, the Octavia's got it!

Anyone know if this is going to change in the future? I would have thought they would be a reasonably popular model.

Seems weird that they cant even order one if someone if willing to place and order and put down a deposit..
Have a look on carsales.com.au, there's still a few for sale on there including one private seller. I also had a dealer in Sydney call me last week asking if I was still looking since they have one that financing fell through on.

I think you're up for hunting around the country to see if there are any still left at the regional dealerships.

On the flip side though it also may make sense to sell a high margin niche model as there would be an almost guaranteed market for them -- in low quantities.

hmm yeah I see what you are saying. Small quantities fair enough; get in line put your deposit down and wait. But to just say no we wont even order them seems kinda silly, especially if sales numbers are down..

Most people buying an R pretty much know they aint going to be getting much of a discount expecially when its being ordered specifically for them. So they could keep thier high margins and sell more cars if they were willing to place the orders.

Oh well I might wait a bit and see if anything develops and if not look at something else.

So the Mrs managed to scratch one of the wheels on my Wolfie R wagon. Only about half inch scratch but annoying :/ yes the rim is dirty it only happened yesterday and I haven't had time to clean them! Anyone know the colour code or appropriate touch up paint for 19" black Pretorias? I want to make it less noticable until I can get a proper alloy wheel repairer to do it. Was just going to use this for now.

Looks good. I've been thinking about de-badging my R hatch and switching out the VW logos for monochrome versions.

Still haven't seen many R Wagons around - only 2 in the past few months. Are there any more owners here?

Would be nice to see one with different rims too...
