I would be interested in how to drop the false floor on the hatch as it should allow the parcel shelf storage feature to be used.

Re: boot liners, I've got the VW foam one or whatever it is - I asked for rubber, but it was thrown in so can't complain.
The R seems to have the same depth boot as the others - false floor close to the boot lip, so there's a relatively flat load area when the back seats are down - and then a heap of room under the false floor.
Has anyone tried moving the false floor down lower? It'd require removing the plastic bits propping it up - and explains why the boot is 605L to the top of the back seat.

Assuming it's the same as the Golf Wagon.

No decent driving yesterday, and then just boring highway for the first 2 hours this morning.
Just finished the old pacific hwy (now called Wootton Way) north of Buladelah - forest twisties, deserted apart from me heading & a few bikes heading north - heaps of fun, some of the corners have moss growing just outside the line, kept me on my toes!
Great road, found this old page that covers it - Motorcycle Paradise: Australia's best motorcycle roads. Bulahdelah.
The R Wagon is definitely quicker than the R32 through the bends, and I can't feel any downside to the extra length/weight at the back, it's certainly better balanced than the front-heavy V6.
More boring highway for the next 2 hours, then I'll see what the traffic's like on old pac

Didn't realise the Wagon has KESSY - good to hear!
Still a pity about the lack of Dynaudio & auto tailgate, and I'd prefer the cheaper Vienna leather seats rather than the carbon Nappa.
Sucks that VW won't let me order a new R Wagon in the spec I want... Only one alternative.

Was looking at that too but it's double the price [emoji107]. DBA T3 and apparently out of stock till May unless you can find a supplier who has these stored.
