I find that shoving the gear selector into S mode minimises throttle lag, and seems to allow me to apply more throttle sooner into a corner, which might suggest that S mode fiddles with the stability control settings.

Anyone have done a resonater delate on the alltrack? How is it?

I wondered if it does too. There is no specific setting in individual mode, so likely the DSG modes would control the XDS, beyond the ESC Sport setting.

I would really like to add extending sun visors to my 2018 Alltrack 135TDI which our 2006 GTI had. Does anyone know if they would fit the Mk7/7.5 Golfs, and what other models had them as standard that might fit my (lovely) Alltrack?

I know they have the extending sunvisor in the US on the alltrack
I do not know why it's not in our cars hmmph VW aust who can work them out?

Yeah. Bloody essential in Oz , if only for safety and health reasons. I've had bits cut off my right ear due to sun damage.

Experiment on the sport mode again over the weekend, it seems sport mode will allow more kick down than normal.

Also not sure is that due to the ungrippy 205 tyres, a fast 2nd gear corner turns into a 4wd slide!! Seriously thinking to upgrade the tyres now...

I also found there are engine oil in the intake pipe, everyone experienced this? I only dome few thousands kms on the car, and this seems too much from experience...

I use mine in sport mode but it still doesn't kick down fast enough
Time for a pedal box i think
The stock tyres that come with the car are awful a sticky tyre will help

I guess so, lets do a group buy on the pedal box! Which brand you looking at? I am looking at the race chip one now!

Just had the first 12 month service and all clear. I was a bit surprised but happy they identified that the right rear tyre had been repaired after a puncture.

How much did the vw dealership service cost rooboy?
I am getting my between service oil and filter change tomorrow every 7.5k now

$310 for the first one. Got a replacement Golf to run around in for the day too...just not used to inserting a key to start anymore [emoji23]

Yeah i have issues with the key now just so used to leaving in my pocket
Not bad for a 1st service see what the later ones cost!

That will give me a comparison for my car when i get it done the amount i drive will only be another 4 months to the 30k mark

Took a friend of a friend for a drive yesterday he loves it i think we got another alltrack owner in the works
