I want the concave of the genuine Audi wheel and I'm noticing some of the replicas look rather flat.
Unfortunately you can't get a real concave looking wheel on a Golf without having poke. There's just not enough room under the guards to allow it.

Don't go reps. There's plenty of decent second-hand wheels out there that are much better than reps if you can't afford them new.

    • I have the Santiago's on my MY15 GTI-P and I reckon for country driving the tyre profile is too low. The car crashes and bangs into bridge gaps and minor pot holes. I've owned it since new and the current tyres (Potenza's S00 ??) are a better ride than the original P-Zero's. I think 18's with a large aspect ration might be an upgrade I'll look at.

I have the same car and agree 100% about the too low profile. I switched wheels to 19 x 8.5 with 245 wide tyres to gain a bit more sidewall.

I will be interested in what 18's you decide on......I like VMR 701.

          • Can someone help me decide on what wheels to choose for my mk7 GTE? The collor of my car is black.

            As I want to keep my current tires i'm looking for 18 inch wheels, my options are;
            - Pretoria gloss black
            - Santiago
            - Spielberg
            - tcr wheels gloss black

            Thanks guys!

                This.. 100% (and very late).

This thread loves concave but only attempt if you're willing to make the effort to set it up.. but especially stick to known brands. Life is too short.

A belated cheer for a great looking ride - an in Adelaide to boot.

Probably way too late, but would love to see what you ended up going with?

On 18 inch it is worth noting the Pretorias are as heavy as other stock VW wheels, unlike the 19 inch which are forged.

Being a GTE one would think a light weight option without extra width would be the go.

Not directly, but don't they usually flog these at the dodgy sellers?

                      • Does anyone have pictures of the std 18" 7.5 Parker rims (std) powder coated black or anthracite?

Tried wading through 698 pages for a picture, but gave up!

Almost certainly no - as I'd remember that (I have a knack for remembering really irrelevant things).

Plenty have with the Austins, so there are probably cars in the US wearing black on the Parkers/Dallas now - I'd lean towards a black finish, although what colour are the plastic trim pieces on the exterior - black or graphite?

If you want a cheap experiment could try this: 2018 VW GTI MK7.5 WHEELS DECALS for 18" wheels | shinegraffix.com

Clearly they aren't even game enough to find someone to try their product though as they offer up this effort as the sell pic:

Ha, that pic is a beauty!

Although I'm actually tempted to try some wheel wrap just to see what a black Parker looks like on my tornado red GTI. In general I love black wheels on red cars, but I'm not sure how the Parkers would look. Will try the US forums.

I'm due a 'sweep' of the US forums as well so I'll let you know if I happen to come across anything.

I agree that black Parkers on a red GTI though should come up ok.
