I don't admire the Cadiz wheels on my near-new Mk7 R.
These look slightly nicer, but I'm concerned about unknown brand and quality. AFTERMARKET REPLICA WHEELS BLADE 19X8.5 5X112 TITANIUM GREY MACHINED

^ What shauno said, steer well clear of no name reps.
I've never been a big fan of the Cadiz but time has tempered my feelings towards them. Regardless as an OEM wheel they're built strong, and I don't understand why people would fit substandard wheels or tyres (lol @ the thread in the tyre section) on an R.
Unfortunately in Australia we don't have many second hand OEM sets coming up for sale so you may need to go the reputable rep route or hang tight until a set of something you like comes up.

I've been looking at so much wheel info, and pictures of wheels, its doing my head in.
Never bought wheels before, so its a learning experience.
I'm detecting that "aftermarket", "replica" and "golf style" are likely code words for craptastic quality wheels.
As already advised by dutch above, genuine oem wheels are a scarce commodity.
And importing some oem Pretoria's from Germany is excessively expensive.
AG have some designs that are mildly appealing. AUDI & VW | AG WHEELS
What is the quality and reputation of Avant Garde (AG) wheels ? Thoughts ?
Also, existing (original) oem Cadiz wheels are 19 x 8 with ET50.
AG Blade wheels are 19"x8" with ET45, so the wheels will move outwards 5mm.
Will this 5mm cause any problem/s on Mk7 R ?
Thanks to the wheel gurus.
