Anything with stretch can be misleading as it makes the sidewall look less than it is, but I reckon that one is still running 20s regardless.

Best bet will be a second hand set - OEM or similar if you want to keep it clean, particularly at 17 inch. The after market gear will probably generally be 18 inch and up.

Everyone has a budget - if there is any chance of stretching higher then I'd be looking at a set of VMRs.. however keeping an eye out on the classifieds here and on the other Golf forum will regularly chuck up some second hand gear at the $1k mark which is still going to be vastly preferable to the rubbish the discount places sell.

Could always consider supporting the Aussie option with ROH.

Assuming that's your white Golf then the plates can go either way - but I could see black plates with black wheels as an option.
