Rieger have just released their body-kit for the R which features a front splitter, rear diffuser with centre-exit exhaust and side skirts and is actually a subtle enhancement for the car unlike most kits. The car happened to feature two different MB Design wheels - on the front are LV1s which have been in this thread a few times while the rear has VR1s:

Seems to be a very popular mod in Europe where VW are selling that rear valance as part of a kit package, although the after-market and/or 'home made' option seems a lot cleaner:

I prefer the LM over the GT but I do see a few sets of black GTs fitted to red GTIs - the red finish on the wheel does line up fairly well with VW red. Note that these wheels also come in an ET35 in a 5x112 fitment, and given where they appear to be sitting on the car I'd suggest it may be these that are fitted rather than ET48s, or alternately spacers have been used.

These pics were posted in the USA with the comment it was a flush fitment; this certainly highlights the difference between what the US consider flush and what we would over here - this would not be legal here as pictured and is a good reminder to be careful when reading overseas forums.

These were identified as OEM Passat CC wheels, however I doubt VW are offering a 20 inch version so I'd still suspect they're replicas. Tough wheel to get detail on, they certainly have been fitted to CCs in 19 inch versions, but the only source appears to be online replicas identifying them as 'Panama' wheels:
