Agreed - the USA got a fairly de-spec'ed version of the R to keep the price right down. Silver caps + wheels = good look.

I've never really been a fan of the black mirror caps unless you're blacking the car out, or.. drive a black car. It looks a little cheap to me.

A couple more snaps from Worthersee; fair to say there is a definite trend worldwide to blacking out that rear panel behind the door.. I've seen it on a few black cars where it doesn't work so well, but in a contrasting color where it picks up other highlights of black (aka grilles, badges, caps, lips etc) it's not too bad:
