That someone was none other than Ulrich Hackenberg, head of dev.

As was pointed out though, this might just be a nominal figure that can comfortably be exceeded.. or another weak link that could break, time will tell.

Agree that PP isn't about the minor boost in power, I'm guessing anyone who cares enough to fork out for PP is a prime candidate for a tune regardless.

The wheel in the normal Mk.7s is bigger, but ergonomically is perfect, couldn't fault it.

VW also said the DQ200 could only handle 250nm of torque - didn't stop the tuners saying ~320nm would be fine (Stage 1). Who knows who was right with that one.
Some say he was the Stig... all we know is that he drives a VW Transporter.

I'm wondering what colours they're going to be bringing in. I hope that it's not the same as the UK spec cars because they're colour range is extremely boring and missing one of the most popular mark 6 colours (CSG).

Current UK colours (GTI only) are: Tornado Red, Black (non-metallic), Pure White, Night Blue, Tungsten Silver, Limestone Grey, Deep Black (Pearl-effect), Reflex Silver and Oryx White.

I'm hoping that we can get Carbon Steel Grey from the mark 6 (still available in Germany) because it is such a sexy colour and Tungsten Silver and Limestone Grey are more just like different shades of silver.

Anyone else have any opinions about this?

CSG is available in the UK according to the UK forums where people have said they've ordered it, it just didn't make it into the brochure for some reason. We should get it

Where do our VW Jettas come from?

                    "Country of origin MEXICO"
How much you think they pay a Mexican to assemble a car compared to someone in Germany.....
I don't know, however production at VW's Puebla, Mexico plant was interrupted recently after they ran out of tacos.
If the answer to the Monty Hall problem was 50/50, the contestant, on average, would win the car 50% of the time simply by sticking with their original guess...but you can only win a one-in-three guessing game 33.33% of the time so it can't be 50/50, can it?

I'd expect the color choice to be the same in mk7, although would be nice if they brought out one of the blues - the Polo GTIs look good in this. I assume it's the equivalent of 'night blue metallic'.. although there are at least four more variations of blue in peal effect as well.

I believe they will do the same as the Mk 6 colour scheme to be honest.
When i picked up my car the dealer said it was the first blue one they had ordered in 2 years.

Turns out most people want 50 shades of grey/black/white for their cars.

Would be good - if you are able to actually provide any feedback at all, then I'm pretty sure a (slightly) expanded color range would be a positive. I realise adding more colors makes ordering/stock control more difficult, but surely at least a blue is do-able.

They can skip the 'minzgrun' green and 'ginstergelb' yellow though.

I've heard this too.. quite odd, although maybe it speaks about VW buyers.

And especially odd as I think your Tiguan looks awesome in that blue.

I'd quite like the blue that was on the Geneva car or the dark blue just to be a bit different haha

                                Example of the blue
