No pinging and no rattle. In fact I've never had any new car in 40 years that is so perfectly built and behaved. Hope it continues that way. This is much better than my Mk6. I'm at 2500km and have only used 98RON.Originally posted by bennjamin View Postanyone getting pinging / pinking in the 90TSI ? We are using 95 RON and I didnt think this could be such a contributing factor.

Noticed it amplified off barriers etc , when loading the engine - from 1500-2000 rpm or so.Last edited by Mountainman; 12-07-2013, 09:44 AM.Nov '15 Polo 81TSI manual white

~400ml per 1000km isn't great, although not unheard of. The manual does allow for a very high oil consumption rate for the first 10,000km or so (well - it did in the Mk6; take a look at your owner's manual and see what it says); VW engines do have a habit of consuming a lot early on, and subsequently using little or none.2008 MkV Volkswagen Golf R32 DSG

Mine is now near 3000km and hasn't used a drop. After the 1L / 3000km of my Mk6 I've kept a close watch. This new Mk7 is just such a different car compared to my Mk6. There is not one thing that isn't better- it's faster, more economical, roomier, quieter, better riding, much better equipped, was $ thousands cheaper & not so much as a buzz, squeak or strange annoying noise. So you've got to love that. So now turbo, don't crap yourself.....Nov '15 Polo 81TSI manual white

Had a read of the manual.. I'm hoping that it does slow down.. driving from Melbourne to Sydney this weekend so I'll be sure to take some oil with me incase I need a top up!Originally posted by AdamD View Post~400ml per 1000km isn't great, although not unheard of. Voice Recognition not working? 103TSi

 Guys,

Having problems getting my voice dialing to work. Pressing the VOICE button on the receiver or the steering wheel only mutes my radio..
No help menu or anything else pops up on the display. Any help?

I'm connected via bluetooth on a HTC One (android).

1 month check up with my Mk7 110TDI yesterday, got told the same thing. They must have done something though, rattle is on holidays for now. (Clip is now August it seems?)Originally posted by exzibit View PostIt's the waste gate rattle, I've got the same problem and so do a few others. Bloody annoying and ridiculous that a brand new car has such an issue. VW Australia have ETA of mid July for the clip to arrive. You should go to your dealer and tell them about it, the more people who bring it to their attention, the quicker they will act on it.

Update: My rattle happens between 1600-2000rpm, most obvious when accelerating, and only when the engine is warmed up.Last edited by Eaglehawk; 16-07-2013, 08:49 AM.
