The Official "I have ordered/received my new MK7 Golf" Thread
Anyone is expecting delivery end of January? My car arrived early of Jan and still waiting for delivery
Pester your dealer a little. Mine landed early Jan and handover was meant to be around 30 Jan but I called a couple times for updates and got it about a week and half after it landed.

That was quick! I was told by my dealer that all the cars arrived early Jan are still hold up due to the public holidays.

There are typically long delays (of 3 or more weeks) over the Christmas/New Year period at Patricks Autocare with vehicle compliancing. The backlog usually takes until early February to clear.

I hope it won't take too long because I really need the car before February and the sale contract also stated delivery date is 30 January
Mine came in just after Christmas into Melbourne, and is ready for collection this week. Shopped around for finance a bit with unexpected results - VW and Esanda both price matching each other and I saved $30 a fortnight on repayments over initial quotes. Both included $10K insurance gap cover. VW have a special 4.99% rate to keep business, just so everyone knows. I went with VW, as I found Esanda customer service at the end of the term of my current car was woeful. Needed to extend payments for a couple of months for the balloon and could not get anyone to call back. I managed to get the right person's direct number on the day the balloon was due and sorted it out.
Driver assistance pack (all Golfs) now $1200. Includes blind spot indicators on wing mirrors + rear parking advisory system.
Can anyone confirm it's gone down from $1,300 to $1,200, please? My local dealer is trying to charge me $1,500 on the MY15.5 car. (VWA says only cars built from week 3 of 2015 have this new assist package.)
Golf VIII R-Line MY21.5 fully loaded – sunroof, sound & vision package (head-up display + Harman/Kardon stereo), Pomelo Yellow premium metallic (a.k.a. Lime Yellow in most markets) – ordered 18/3/21, delivered 17/8/21. Previous VW group cars: Golf VII Comfortline DSG MY15.5 pacific blue; Golf IV Sport MY04 reflex silver with sunroof; Golf III CL bahama blue; Audi A4 MY95 tornado red; Porsche 928S3 MY85 guards red with sunroof.

The $1200 is for DA in a Golf R, which is cheaper than the regular DA in all other models - $1500.
The new name for this driver assistance is DA2 (which now includes blind spot). MY15.5
It's been a couple of weeks since I saw it. Memory is a little clouded.
From memory it was:
TDI, TSI, GTI with DA2 -$1500
Golf R with DA2 - $1200
Thanks for that. Today I ordered my Comfortline DSG in Pacific Blue with MY15.5 Driver Assistance Package (blind spot monitor and cross-traffic reverse monitor). The boat's due to arrive on 16th March. My only problem is I forgot to bargain window tinting not the deal. I guess I should find out what the real darkest tint I can have in South Australia.
Funny thing is I really wanted a sunroof, which I have on my old Golf, but I'd be forced into upgrading to Highline and the Luxury Pack, which adds $9,000 just to get a sunroof. Bad options by VWA. Who would pay $9,000 extra?

Feeling nervous about my car. Its on a boat due in Feb 2 but its originally for an interstate dealer. My dealer is trying to get it for me and will let me know today.
Problem is that my current cars rego is due 23rd Feb so praying that I can get this interstate bound car secured to me.
Otherwise not sure what will happen.

My R is on the same boat. Getting off at Melb then will make it over to Adelaide, hopefully for delivery around my wife's birthday at the end of February.
