Guys, I was told that Traffic wasn't 'enabled' or 'ready for Australian market' yet. Is this true? When I was at the dealership going through the car the Traffic wasn't working and that's what they told me. They said that it's something that was switched on for some cars when they were testing it and it was meant to be switched off - any ideas?

Had to turn it on with mine under settings.
Then you have to save a TP radio station List of radio stations in Australia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia to your favourites. It will load from this when you have it selected (about 5 seconds all that's needed)

Also interstates nicely with Nav

Picked up my new baby (MY14 Golf Wagon Highline 1.4L TSI 103, Roof, Leather, DAC.) yesterday afternoon. She's pretty awesome! I've got to say, if you don't take up the Driver Assist package for the ACC you are nuts!

Just wondering for those who has the wagon, is it MY13 or MY14? I was quoted a MY13 comfortline wagon as that's the only one they have in the colour that I want. Thanks!

I'm not having any luck with the traffic. I do see the "TP" symbol at the top of the display so I think its set up right. Can you please post the version of the software for the NAV system? My car was delivered a few days ago to maybe its been disabled. I'll check mine too.

Go to your radio settings>advanced settings: tick "RDS"
Back to radio settings: Tick "Radio text" and then tick "traffic programme"
Should then work

Thanks! I'm all set up the same as you but still no joy. I suspect that its been turned off in some other way. I'm not too worried as I would use my phone for navigation mostly anyway. Here is my version information:

Have alcantara in my current car and really like it, so decided to stick with the cloth/alcantara mix in the R.
Really looking foward to getting back into a VW (Had a MKV R32 I sold about 18 months ago)

Unlike the R32, leather has been an option since the Mk6 R. Given your location as Melbourne, the missing heated front seats without the leather option might be noticed, but the $3K+ saving would probably be harder to give up.

I've had heated seats in my last 3 cars and I never use them. Personal preference I guess, but not my cup of tea.

I love the heated seats, use them almost every day!

I'm not old but the heated seats help my back problems so they get used whenever I'm in the car.

For those that have placed factory orders so far. What lead times have you been quoted? I was told by my dealer 5-6 months worst case. Interested to hear what others have been told.
