The Official "I have ordered/received my new MK7 Golf" Thread

2 weeks ago, I decided to order a new 1.4 TSI Highline in Tungsten Silver. My truly excellent local dealer, Miles Continental in Christchurch did quick check of incoming stock and found an unallocated car on a ship called the Tarago, that docked in Auckland last Friday and the car should be in my hands in about 10 days. Very happy with the price, which at NZ$37K drive away, is about 10% off list. Mind you, this is my fourth new car in 3 years from them, so I'd hope to be looked after .

Be interested to compare Australian and NZ specs for the Highline. Would you expect them to be identical?

Amazingly the head of sales for VW oz is making a dealer visit tomorrow and my dealer wants me to be there with him to see what options he gives me and to let me put a few back at them....The Tiguan they lent me to drive around in has now died on me in my garage...they spent 2 hours today diagnosing it but they said they will be back tomorrow to tow it back to the workshop so they can test it more thoroughly ...they think the fuel pump has **** the tin. Starting to think I am not meant to get this car!!!

He has found a Black one with D/A in Perth but leather seats....a couple of Red ones and white ones over the east coast with D/A but with the dead cow interior too......he said there is a boat arriving end of January with a few Performance Packs on it as well as a Couple of white ones with D/A and Tartan Trim....or If I want what I was supposed to get then I have until 5pm tomorrow to put in an order to make the earliest next build in Germany

Decisions decisions, which way you going to go? Are they willing to give you leather at the price you already paid?

I made mention of it today that I don't care for the leather or I would have optioned it with it on my 1st order . I have a follow up meeting tomorrow with the dealer so will nut all that **** out then....I upset the VW rep when I said the May delivery is unacceptable when they can ship 20 or more F1 cars around the world in less than a week, so why cant VW do they same for F*^^ing my order up, And none of the colours (Black, red ,white) I like very much at in fact I hate them....When you go to the german VW site and build your own GTI there are a **** load more colours to choose from to what we get here........

Vw sales bloke basically ignored me by pretending to look for GTI's in stock on his laptop...and there was no apology.....What pisses me off the most is no one has got the balls to stand up and say it was their ****up..they know if they do they will have to compensate me for the loss and to compromise on a replacement car with options that I don't want or colours that I don't like. All the dealer is saying at the moment is I will have to wait till May next year to get what I want but they will supply a loan car till then. The Novating Lease Company that brokered the deal are really pissed off with the dealer with they have stuffed my order up and the way they are giving me the run around

Hi all,

Long time reader, first time poster, ordered my 103TSI Highline in white today with all options:
· Bi-xenon headlights
· Leather seats
· Driver assist
· Sunroof
· Anti theft alarm system

Dealer also threw in tinted windows, floor mats, boot liner and a free tank of fuel. Didn’t really want the anti theft system but at the price I got it at and with a delivery time of 2 -3 weeks I couldn’t resist.
Also added on the 18’ motorsport rims which means I’ll have a brand set of 17’ dijons to offload. If anyone is interested feel free to hit me with a PM!
Cannot wait for my golf arrive!
