After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Picked up my new MK7 GTI on Friday that was optioned with driver assist......went to give the park assist a go and had to read the manual to check which button to press.....the button wasn't there and neither was the rest of the whole driver assist options.....took it straight back to the dealer and told him to find me the one I ordered....Was told the one I got was the last one in Australia a few weeks ago so I might be waiting a while...they have given me a 2nd hand Tiguan to drive in the meantimeComment

not sure...was picked it up 5pm Friday arvo and took it back 8.30 am sat morn next day....VW aus don't work Saturdays so hopefully they will find out tomorrow what my options are.....!Comment

I ordered a Reflex silver, DSG with Driver assist....might have to wait the 4-6 months if what they are saying that the one I was supposed to get was the last in Oz....or I will see if we can do a deal....if there is one out there with say the bi-xenons as well( which I am not really fussed about) I will take it if they are willing to throw them in for nothing for stuffing up my order...or leather too ( which I don't really want either )..probably fat chance of it happening but I will be putting my case forward to see if they will come to the party on itComment

New member here but I've been lurking around for a few weeks now.
I picked up my new Mk7 Golf GTI yesterday. Its a DSG with no other options, and I was lucky enough to get corp plus pricing on it.
Driveaway pricing was $44.3k, including tinting, rubber floor mats, boot liner, front weathershields, and a full tank of fuel.
I am incredibly happy with the quality of build, fit and finish. Might just be the 'new car feeling', but very, very happy so far. Lets hope it all stays that good for years to come!
Happy to field any questions on the car, or manual, or whatever.

You are not wrong! Could be 6-8 months!!! That would really stink, shows you how useless dealers are...(Not to mention they don't give two hoots apart from their sales commission). The dealer is being quite supportive about it all...they even showed me a copy of the order invoice just to prove that it did have driver assist on the invoice. VW Australia told them that there was one left with my exact specs at another dealer. So my dealer did a swap with them. So we aren't sure yet till tomorrow on who made the stuff up.....VW Oz or the other dealer they swapped with....to be continued......Comment

It took about 6 weeks from the very start of my order to when I had it delivered. Hopefully My dealer will shed some more light on it tomorrow when he contacts VW Oz or the other dealer he did the swap with. I know the Novating Lease company are going to be pissed. Hope fully the dealer will refund the money for the car back to them as I aint making repayments for something I don't have.Comment

My first VW will be a 90TSi DSG in Reflex Silver (the only colour left for six months
). To be delivered on Monday 23rd December.
Really hoping that there are no problems, but looking forward to getting it. I was impressed by a Golf Wagon that Hertz gave me recently as an upgrade, even though it is based on the Mk5.Comment

Amazingly the head of sales for VW oz is making a dealer visit tomorrow and my dealer wants me to be there with him to see what options he gives me and to let me put a few back at them....The Tiguan they lent me to drive around in has now died on me in my garage...they spent 2 hours today diagnosing it but they said they will be back tomorrow to tow it back to the workshop so they can test it more thoroughly ...they think the fuel pump has **** the tin. Starting to think I am not meant to get this car!!!Comment
