The Official "I have ordered/received my new MK7 Golf" Thread
Nice! Congrats on the purchase! I'm sure the delivery time will be less than you think! I was told two weeks and got a call from the dealer the day after I paid the deposit to tell me that the car was ready to pick up! And it had to come from another dealer, too! Post some photos when you pick it up!

I have only been on this forum for a little while. Thank you for the wealth of info on here, although my perception is that most people on here are buyers/drivers of the GTI or Golf R. Anyway.....
Sold my Reflex Silver TSI 90 Comfortline privately and placed an order for the new TSI92 Comfortline in Pacific Blue. Very excited. Getting a April 2016 built car, I guess you can't go much newer than that!
I picked up my GTI last Friday from the dealer (also a April 2016 build). Very happy with my decision to buy a GTI and hope that feeling remains for many years to come.
Hey guys, love the convo, would it be possible for everyone to post the prices they paid for their R's in particular? I'm in the market and want to arm myself with a bit of info beforehand.

i know of a couple bought in perth in the last month or so-
$56k all up for a white ex demo base model my2016 dsg.
$55k all up for the same in blue but not ex demo
these 2 cars were in stock/in the showroom so much easier to get a great deal when they have stock on hand & I'm not sure of build dates.
my R, which I should be getting tomorrow after ordering it in - $55k, brand new drive away (april 2016 build I think) DSG R, I didnt want any options) in limestone grey. I paid full retail for the 5 year warranty on top of that tho. I was trying real hard for $500 cheaper but I ran out of time with the 2.8% finance deal & the dealer was not budging any more - None of the other dealers from perth to bunno wanted a bar of it - most would not drop under $59k without the warranty!
Also, none of those deals involve corporate discounts or trade in value complications.
osbourne park have a red dsg R in stock & you can probably get it for 55 with the sunroof for free if that floats your boat
Just a tip - if you paid full retail for the extended warranty but don't actually want it, you can call the insurance company within 14 days of the policy start (cool off period) and get a full refund (into your finance if you did that)
Placed an order for a red 40 years on Saturday, paid $53 on road (In Sydney) but don't pick it up mid September as needed a little time to sell another car but didn't want to miss out on one. Can't wait to get my hands on it.
