Makes me want to puke. Back in 2012 I paid $1300.

Except you cant get it on a NEO... which 55% of sales will be Or a rear view camera. Oh well.

BTW when are you selling up and getting a Mazda 3?

As for extended warranty... Mazda will only extend by ONE year and only at time of purchasing car. Anyone got a price?

I'm looking at the SP25. Will sell at the end of this year, hoping for good end of year sales.

        LOL what's with that photo?

          • I don't like the screen out of the dash look. That's why I went back to vw even after cracking the ****s over our lack of 8 inch screen instead of waiting for new 3.

              • While I was ordering my new Golf today, I had a quick look at the 3 at the same dealer. I found nothing to suggest the 3 is better than the Golf - especially the 3's strange touch screen that is stuck on top of the dash like an afterthought.

Afterthought? The reason it was placed there is that it's not too far away from the road. Having a satnav below the air vents is actually a considerable distance from the windscreen. You will need to look down, taking your eyes away from the road.

The MZD system is also miles ahead from what VW's got. Mazda is even opening the API to third party developers to create apps for the car. You can also export technical car info to a USB stick to give to your dealership. No need to take it in for a dealer to plug in VAGCOM or whatever just to check for errors.

See what this reviewer has to say about its ease of use. Totally blows even what Audi's got: 2014 Mazda Mazda3 Review and Road Test - YouTube

The placement is fine, but it needs to be integrated with the top of the dash. Perhaps it could fold down when not in use, e.g. when parked. The current arrangement looks like nobody thought it through from a design point of view.

I'm thinking the same, got my golf late Dec , though considered waiting for the new 3. Not a huge fan of its design, inside or out. The golf, to me anyway, is still much better in cabin material quality, feeling of solidity and early reviews say golf is still quieter.

The standard 5.8 inch infotainment screen could be bigger, it's laggy and the res is pretty crap that's the only minus for me when comparing the 2. Then again it's not like a tablet where you are looking at it the whole time while using. Having a look a the 3s manual, the VW MFD is much more comprehensive in info and warning displays as compensation.

Overall I'm really happy, just hope it's reliable.

Good video, but I can't help but comment on how Americans butcher the pronunciation of car brands... Mazda = Marzzduh?

Reminds me how for years people in American TV shows and whatnot were saying Nii-san and I had no idea what brand they were referring to.

Perhaps you should sell your VW and buy a Mazda. Maybe there's a Mazda forum somewhere for you?

How did you find the whole process? Who was your salesperson? PM me if you want to.

                                Thanks
