Is it a bit of show shenanigans?? Making it squat at the rear for the awaiting paps? Interesting to see Monroe shocks.. would have expected SACHS or some Blank OEM

Yeah,a bit strange strapping the springs and strange without oem shocks. I wonder if the strapping was for one of those low truck transporters to stop it bouncing and potentially scratching the roof, and they forgot to take the strapping out?
Something about some of those low rear shots doesn't look right, it looks too fat in some places, bumper bulge or something.

That must be the performance suspension option . No doubt they wouldnt want the car photographed with OEM wheel gaps this early on.
From memory ACC dampers are made by monroe on even the mk6 cars.

Paris Motor Show LIVE: Meet the new Volkswagen Golf GTI

Pics of the actual car @ the Paris Motor Show... IMO its hot, all three colours look the goods, not 100% about the red stripe in the light but i'm sure it'll grow on me. Nice rims too.

One of my complaints about the cruise control is that it's on a separate stalk and a bit fiddly so the move to the steering wheel may make sense to me. I'm not sure if it's too many cramped in such a close proximity.

ps is the DRL different? It looks almost like the BMW angel eyes look rather than LEDs.

The tail lights seem to be LED. Would be great to see a pic of them turned on, to see the LED array/layout.

I like it, especially how the centre of the dash points towards the driver. I will be saving my pennies.

Similar to current version I would say, unsure how much extra the Performance package would be if it does come here.

And Why oh Why has it got that stupid electronic handbrake (electromechanical unit) like the passat and tiguan!!!?????

That is not what you want in a drivers car!...perhaps in a mums taxi- but not in a drivers performance car, esp a manual.!!!!

Pretty sure they said the elec handbrake is optional.

I suppose thats ok then...
