Just ordered an Indium Grey Golf R 7.5 DSG with DAP.
Should be here in a couple of weeks.

Nearly brought the Wolfsburg for the Dynaudio but TBO not a fan of the wheels.
I cannot wait until it gets here.

Well done, bud. Agree with the wheels on the Wolfie - black just doesn't stand out enough for me. I wanted the Dynaudio real bad, but that was all I was getting for the extra 000's in my mind, not really being a fan of softer leather or faux mirror caps either.

Got it for $58,700.
We don’t have the ability to play dealers against each other as easily unless you want to drive great distances, then you have to factor in the cost of going to brisbane and driving it back...
But all in all i am rather happy with the price.

Congrats, you won't be disappointed!
Totally agree regarding Wolfsburg as well. Although the softer leather would be nice. My MK7 GTI has better seats than my 7.5 R

The Pretorias aren't black on the 7.5 models - and are worth more than the price difference alone (based on 1,000 EUD option on the 7 previously in Europe). I figured much better and lighter wheels, Dynaudio and Nappa was worth the $1,200 extra on a hatch.. obviously no choice for me though as I wanted a wagon and had no interest in the Grid (or waiting for it).

I can respect your view kennyc, even when it is blatantly wrong.

In all honesty I had made peace with the Spielberg when I had my hatch on order, although I was already close to pulling the trigger on replacement OZ/BBS.

I was actually glad they'd gone the grey version (which is not that many shades darker than the original overseas silver spec) over the blacks until I ended up with an Oryx wagon. Now I may end up pulling the trigger on a black set of wheels.. one day.

I liked both wheels but had my heart set on black prets and when quoted on my original order on a standard R $7k it was a no brainer for me to go the Wolfie.

Sounds alright to me and as long as your happy, which is the main thing. Squeezing the last dollar to save is always nice but in the scheme of things a good buying experience and fault free driving are the things which will stay in your memory.

I've done a few overnight stays in Rockhampton in the drive between Townsville and Brissie...lovely folk.

Have just spoken to my Dealer and she was nice enough to swap the one i ordered for a MY18.5 so i can get the Dynaudio and the Enhanced Driver Assistance package.
Might have to pay an extra $1k but totally worth it
Should be here sometime in February

That is awesome, I'm sort of on the fence on a fully optioned GTI vs the R and if they're options in the builds coming in it may tip me in that direction. Good of the dealer to get back to you with the extra option to change.

Is something different in the enhanced DAP?

Traffic Jam Assist

Emergency assist

Lane assist with adaptive lane guidance

From what i have read, the DQ381 is that good that some folk as saying it is worth the upgrade to the R based on that one feature alone....
Not sure if it will be that good as i am very happy with the DQ250 in the TDI but once i have had it for a few months ill report back [emoji106]

For the R, it would only be TJA new as standard?? My car already had Emergency Assist and Lane Assist with adaptive Lane guidance I think
