I only had to wait three months, I was told late august when I ordered in April. My wait was unbearable so I can't imagine having to wait as long as you! That's terrible.

I'll take a couple more photos in a more natural light as I know how hard it is to get photos of durban and xenons on pearl black non GTi's on the internet lol. The colour is beautiful!!! I've gone from a nimbus grey polo which was quite a classy colour... But black really looks great on this model especially with the chrome bars you get on the GT and lights

3 months! damn!!! that hurts lol. I'm getting to the stage of complaining to VW but I hate having to complain, better things to focus on in life...like.......nah, it isn't working...GOLF!

I've been stocking on loads of detailing goodies for when mine gets here, snow foam lance, wheel sealant, decontaminating products etc. by the time it arrives I'll own a shop load of products.

I've accumulated quite a load of bits during my wait -

    OEM rubbers mats,
    OEM Mud Flaps,
    Yeti Exhaust Tips,
    OEM Pedal caps,
    OEM Cargo net,
    Thule Roof Rack,
    Euro Plates.

The hardest part about the wait is having to see a mates new Giulietta Sportiva each day, that was the car I was going to buy if I passed on the Golf, I could of been driving it for 8 months now...

Haha. . .oh man this is worth the wait. I can't stop smiling. I can't stop being in work. . .and looking out the window in the distance at it!!!! It's creeping me out lol. It's so much faster than my Polo . . I really didn't think 150PS would be that good but it blows me away (considering my last one had just 70PS) . . .no doubt petrol heads would laugh at me but i'm so happy with it's power. It looks really great. . .though it's VERY shiny at a distance - yet when I get close there's a layer of brown dirty dust all over it!!!

I'm going to snow foam it tomorrow. . . .then apply Collinite (i'm sure the dealer waxed it - but I want to do it for myself). . .then dry it and then demon shine it.

      I LOVE MY CAR.

I feel like Tom Cruise did when he jumped up on Oprah's sofa and declared his love for Katie Holmes.

At the beginning I wasn't sure about the design but once I looked at one in person and specially after I drove the R I was truly convinced about the car, I would recommend you to test drive one you would really like it.

The sharp aggressive lines really give the R a presence on the road. Saw a white one the other day. They really do look so much better in real life, photos just don't do it.

I wonder if "6=pack" width was a consideration.

                How does the hatch fare?

I keep trying this on the 6 but never fail.

Damn, that's one more reason to upgrade. And good choice on the beer
