That's the Discover Pro (with an 8" screen). That option is not offered in Australia (unless you buy a Skoda).

There are guys looking into retro fits of the 8". I'm considering it when I get a hold of my PP.
I believe there a few bug to iron out but if they get it working it will sell like hot cakes.

Very nice in that colour. Just back from a few weeks in NZ. It must hurt to pay as much as you do for your new cars over there. New Golfs were more than 50% more than they are here, especially in the cheaper versions.

In my experience, after test driving one of the new Golf R’s the other day, they go pretty hard. The number plates sort of suit it, if you ask me.

Yes it does hurt when we (NZ) are being fleeced by around 20-40% more for the same cars and on parts / options.

VW are imported into NZ by European Motor Distributors who not only enjoy a healthy monopoly, European Motor Distributors are also part of the Giltrap group. The Giltrap group are also VW dealers.....

So, monopoly, price fixing and conflict of interest - Welcome to corrupt New Zealand, land of the great long rip off.

My next order (Highline with options) which is now due in September after being ordered in January (9 months wait) costs more than the UK spec GTI.

                                Unfortunately there is little choice.
