All possible changes for the MK7/7.5 Golf found on the interscam can be performed via VCDS. I have certainly done all the all the ones I wanted to make. For the Golf, its only from MK8 onwards that it becomes difficult.

There were issues prior to the Mk8. There were a number of features locked-out on the 7.5 which were available on the 7, including disabling stop-start. Had this issue on two 7.5s, along with my own car when different datasets from a late model Passat were uploaded to enable certain features via coding.

Cant be right according to another poster, but who is to know unless you try as the block out was introduced without fanfare and affected some cars but not others across the same platform. Was trying to be helpful but sometimes it doesnt pay

Interesting, did Stop/Start disable on a Mk7.5 Golf 110TSI with no issues using VCDS. Though I could not do it on either of the 2 MY23 T-Rocs (which is based on the MK7.5 platform) in the family.

They are all derivatives of the MQB platform Golf up to 7.5 First gen MQB. Mk8 Golf is the MQBEV.O TROC MQBA1. Kamiq, TCross MQB A0.

It seems from researching, the introduction of the new model camera they introduced some time from late 2019 and mostly in cars from 2020/21 changed access to the modules and despite being able to do things in the Tig the module access has changed and some simple things cant be done on the cars with the new camera. Like I cant get the speed signs to appear in the dash in the Kamiq but was easy to do in 2019. Some other things like S/S cant be disabled and believe me Ive tried every way known on forums. Even the cheater cable I bought is a bit sus at times
