Track day photos look good - the car sits nicely on the suspension and wheels you have.
Nice upgrade on the exhaust. I don't know what it is with the xforce systems on the Golf's, but every one I have heard on a GTI or R just sounds awful. Very loud, no tone and sounds like a wet fart. Its like the automotive equivalent of a Harley Davidson sound. The IPE must be a nice upgrade in terms of sound and overall quality.
My only comment would be to get back under the car and loosen the clamps for the exhasut tips, twist the clamps 90 degrees so they are not hanging down, then retighten. That way they are both hidden visually, and not hanging down to potentially catch onto debris on the road etc.

Got some bbs lm reps a little while ago so I can get the rays refinished. They look nice but are almost twice the weight of the rays haha. Specs are 19x8.5 et38, I also repainted the centre caps bronze and white to match the car a bit betterYou may only view thumbnails in this gallery. This gallery has 2 photos.2 Photos

Yeah it seems like a very high quality piece for sure, setting up the adjustable end links was a bit fiddly but got there in the end. I did take the haldex pump and and gave it a good clean, it wasn’t too dirty but the fluid was definitely due for a change. Snaking the wiring harness over the propshaft and getting it back into its clips is a massive pain in the ass haha.

The 034 swaybar is a nice upgrade over the factory hollow swaybar isn't it. They are very nice quality parts.
Did you clean the mesh screen filter thingy when you did your Haldex service? If not, it might be a good idea.

Received and installed my rear sway bar yesterday, also did a haldex and DSG service in preperation for euro day at lakeside on the weekend. Stayed up to 10.30pm finishing it off, so hopefully I didn’t forget to do any bolts up haha

Washed the car a gave the exhaust tips a polish, it’s strange how the middle ones always get way dirtier than the outside ones, valves are always open. Should also have a stiffer rear sway bar coming in the next week or two as well

That would haul with 340+ kw at the wheels. What a hoot. What turbo did you end up choosing?

New turbo is in along with bigger port injectors, bigger lpfp, 4 bar map sensors, flex sensor and a few other things. Got everything installed and tuned 999automotive with ecotune’s reflex stage 3 ecu and DSG tune. Car made around 310kw on 98 and around 345kw at the wheels on e85, they kept the power levels sensible to keep the stock engine in one piece. Really happy with how the car drives with the new setup and tune. Very civilised when just cruising around but goes crazy when putting your foot into it. You definitely notice the higher boost threshold with the bigger turbo but it comes on like a light switch around 4k rpm and pulls really strong all the way to redline. Super happy with the results and keen to get this thing to a track soonLast edited by Lito; 22-04-2025, 05:04 PM.

yep still tracking the s3 but wasn't out much last year. I have a few plans for it this year and going to get to the track as much as possible...Originally posted by Lito View PostCheers mate, definitely will take take some pics when the coils are fitted, hopefully they go at least a little lower than where it sits now but I’m getting mixed information online. At least they should ride a lot better. You still tracking that s3?
