Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • looking for help ACT - mk7.5 grille sensor issue

Hi everyone, is there anyone who can assist with resetting of the grill badge sensor using VCDS or other?

Id like to avoid going to VW is possible.

Issue: i turned ignition on when the sensor was unplugged when installing LED globes, i had the grille off the car. Noob issue i know, but now we have the yellow dash warning. i tried myself resetting CAN module 13, clearing codes etc, but i simply dont have the specific knowledge to know what im doing..

if of course it cant be done (needs recalibration?) ill book it in with vw..

    Canberra based.

    cheers

grille sensor? You mention Module 13 that's the adaptive cruise control module.

If you have VCDS, click on the AutoScan option, scan the whole car and paste the log on here between some "CODE" tags to make it look good.
