I've searched the forum and the web and I can't find a reasonable explanation for the foggy display (about 1 cm) at the top of the screen. The head unit has been replaced and the issue remains. Appears mainly when on zoom, i.e. on the freeway, but can still happen on a 2 to 300 metre zoom. Has anyone else had the same issue or is this normal? Any plausible explanation or suggestions most welcome.

Thats the normal 3D map view....it's meant to look like its fading away into the horizon...nothing wrong with the screen at all, as you can see if you don't crop the image, look at the complete screen. It's the design of the interface.
If you don't like the look of it change to 2D map view.2011 Skoda Octavia vRS TDI DSG wagon|Revo Stage 1|Race Blue|Leather|Dynamic Xenons w 6000K|9w7 BT|THA475 Amp+active sub|Whiteline ALK|RVC|

It's the "fog of war." You need to explore more of your surroundings to reveal more of the map. Or launch a UAV.MY13 Golf GTI DSG (SOLD)| Candy White | 18" Detroits | Bi-Xenon Headlights | Street Guardian SG9665C
