^ what other goodies have you got there? Cloth tape? Door lights?

Yep, cloth tape will be better for other various mods than standard electrical tape I have used in the past. Door lights with the red/white superbright LEDs (and the adapter cables), and silicon key fob covers. Because cheap, and why not..---

I just emailed bold-sport today about what the coding bytes/bits would be, didn't get a complete answer but they basically said:
for you info, our Coding: 0008002002
A new module climatronic must test all the settings.
Press and hold the two buttons on the "panel air on the face" and AC for 3 seconds.
If there is a problem with the air conditioning compressor operation,
the same operation to be done by holding the heated rear window with the AC button for 3 seconds.
I tried that 1st option (as it hadn't been mentioned before) of the "face air"+AC and definitely get the flashing LEDs and can hear the system going through some testing, something that holding the rear demister+AC doesn't do for me (perhaps as I did it the moment I powered the car up after first installing, it only lets you do it once?)
I removed any VCDS errors by putting WSC 12345 123 12345 in a couple of days ago, and coded my old setting: Coding: 0000001002
I have a suspicion that the coding bold-sport gave was for perhaps heated seat monitoring also, which I don't have. I will update the thread when I learn any more.

Just to clear things up, people are only having issues if they have no heated seats, the VW's with heated seats require no coding and no faults are created?
I have ordered mine a week ago but they are out of stock and won't get any in for 2 weeks but bold-sport will express post to me as soon as they are in.
Cheers.

The faults only show in vcds, nowhere else. The unit operates as expected. But you definitely need to do the initialization, and if you don't want an uncoded error showing in VCDS, you need to code something into it.---

Having some issues with bold-sport, they are out of stock with the one I need but I'm not sure they do it at all. The one I need has to have the heated seats buttons auto air recirculation and the sync button, does anyone else have this panel because they say the one with the auto recirculation button has a REAR button rather than SYNC button?

? Mine has seat warmers, auto recirc, synch. This is the normal one they supply, given the two or three diy pics/videos I have seen (they have a blown up photo of it at bs also?)
Maybe I missed your point?
P.s. I got hold of vcds12.12.0 the other day, which is the latest Ross Tech offers, and there is no long coding helper still for this new HVAC module. Was hoping to see what bits in those bytes were for what purpose...no go, so shall stick with my old HVAC code which is doing no harm.Last edited by tonymy01; 23-11-2013, 09:05 AM.---

MK7 controls came today and fit. Easily done except when you drop a screw through the dash. Luckily found it under the ash tray. Hardest part for me was pulling up the RCD510 surround, my little bugger was on solid. Had to do the AC trick with the both buttons. Works perfect and love the fact that the cold blue light and red hot light light up.

Thanks for letting us know, well done, see the diy isn't too hard. My stereo surround had been off before from fitting RVC, which helps loosen it up a bit for future pulls.---
