Climate control conversion

Hey guys,

I currently have the basic climate control unit in my Mk6 golf. I was wondering if the proper climate control unit would work in a plug and play manner (With VCDS if required).

Hey buddy,

dont think you'll get all the functionality. You won't get heated seats and dual climate because the necessary control modules won't be there?

Is there a reason to wanna change?

Just so it looks cleaner basically.
So pretty much nothing would work? or will I still have the functionality of single climate?

Oh ok fair enough... I don't think it looks that bad to be honest.

I don't know if anything would work would have to have a look at the plug and see if they even match.

These are cheap as well from memory around about $800 a pop genuine.

^ i may be selling my Climatronic from my MK6 R shortly if you are not desperate for one immediately. Im looking to upgrade to the MK7 Climatronic unit.

some MY2013+ Scirocco, EOS, Jetta and Passats have the new Mk7 esque Climatronic unit.

You'd need a new trim piece to go over it too and it is different to the MK7 one.

Lucas I noticed your taking the try? If it's plug and play and everything works I'd be in for the group buy. Something tells me that it wont all work. The LEDS wont have any wiring?

Had it for a month or so now - works perfectly and much nicer looking/user friendly than the original Climatronic unit.
