Rear Seat Armrest missing drinks holder?

I've often wished my Golf had cup holders built into the rear centre armrest like the cloth covered model has. Then I found various pictures of leather seat Golfs with the same cup holders...

Why does mine not have them there? I'd much prefer if it did, because my children cannot lean forwards enough to get at the ones placed at foot level. Can I source and replace the centre part?

Thats a 3 door body by the looks of it - i wonder if the rear armrest with cup holders was only fitted to the 3 door models?

Might need to look at some cars in a dealer and borrow a vin to take to the spare parts counter.

Thanks HAWK, can you do a look at 2010, or 2011...I think its from earlier golf models.
