Suit yourself. So far I've had the minor services done at the dealer and major at VP, and no complaints here. I had no issues at the time but cannot recall details that far back, so if you're curious just give them a call.

Mine is due for the 30,000km service soon. Should I go to a VW specialist workshop or back to the dealer for servicing? I'll obviously compare prices, but am thinking the specialist places will be cheaper.
I ask because I've always gone back to the dealer for servicing with my prior vehicle, but that was Japanese and servicing costs were cheap.2010 VW Golf MK6 GTI - 3 door | Carbon Steel Grey | DSG | 19" VMR V705 | Carbonio CAI | APR RSC Turboback Exhaust + Stage 2 Tune

I think you're mistaken. Not all Japanese car servicing is cheap, my ex-Honda Jazz costed more to service annually vs my GTI at the dealerships. A Mazda 3 servicing schedule, when enquired costed about the same as my VW GTI as well.Originally posted by MrGTIandRfan View Post

30k service for me (103TDI) was usual oil and filter, windscreen fluid additive stuff, cabin air filter change, brake fluid flush and change. Radiator fluid should not need to be done at 30k.Originally posted by Lucas_R View PostThe 15,000km service is a very basic oil change / oil filter change.
Every 2 years or 30,000km its a more in depth service with brake fluid / radiator fluid etc changed.

They didn't rotate mine at 30. They only removed the wheels to check brakes, etc. I had to call and ask them because my car was booked in at a tyre shop for it's first free tyre rotation (since I purchased tyres from them last year).Originally posted by Captain Courteous View PostDo they rotate the tyres @ 30k?

Ha ha. It's my fault I didn't mention that it made a whirling noise on startup and was backfiring every now and again. VW gave it a software updateOriginally posted by Digger11 View PostThats great. It is amazing what changing the oil and checking that all of the lights w

Golfwagen 30k service around $300 plus $85 for the brake fluid (will almost be 2 years old so figure will get that done too). Last minor service at wv wangara was well over $400 even with (supposed) VIP discount.MY14 Audi S3 - Misano Red, S-tronic, Performance pack with parade red trim.
