Should be w5w/194/T10 for most of the interior (except vanity and cargo) and for parkers. I'm addicted just quietlylooks so much better than stock.

We can continue this in another thread though, otherwise moderators will get angry"67 Combi" "2010 Golf Wagon - 118tsi - DSG - 17" Visions - Bluetooth - Tint "

So I'd have to say that this is one of the easiest and quickest mods you can do.
I too ordered the R Dash lights from eBay. They took ~5 days to arrive.
I installed them in <5 minutes, in extremely bad light (had to grab a torch), and that included mounting the resistor boxes!
The resistor boxes have 3 sides which are aluminium heatsinks, and then 1 side which is black plastic (plus the 2 ends which are also plastic). I'll I did was cut a small piece of 3M clear double sided tape, place it on the black plastic back of the resistor box, and then used both index fingers to guide the resistor box into place inside the rear bumper. I positioned it on the "top inside surface" of the rear bumper, with the "back edge" of the box roughly in-line with the light hole opening. In other words, I placed the resistor box closer to front of the car so that it has no chance to foul the light housing and more room to dissipate heat.
I used 3M Scotch 4010 Heavy Duty Mouting tape (which I also used to mount my eTag on my windscreen, and for mounting my number plates temporarily from the dealership) since it is easy to work with, easy to remove if necessary, and is also resistant to cold temps AND hot temps.
I must admit that I am one of these people who have held off from previous "number plate light LED kits" due to the concerns about them either having crap light dispersion or being too bright. IMO these suffer from neither issue. Apart from actually being "white", they are not too much brighter than stock - I'd equate it to the diff between halogen headlights and xenon headlights.

I used the same method as Corey, with the 3M tape to the upper/inner side of the hole - just hope it holds.. took it for a test run on a bumpy road and they still work.. and no rattles so guess they did.
auto blur's my plates also.. har har
lets see how long they last now.Last edited by Vaku; 07-07-2011, 04:21 PM.

The 3M tape ain't going to let go on them if you've used the one that I suggested. It can withstand items much hotter and heavier than these resistor boxes. I've been using this model on various things for about 3 years now

Does anyone have any experience of how hot the resistor boxes get?Now - MY17 Passat 206TSI Wagon - Tungsten Silver | Sunroof

Not yet... the "release clip" on the R Dash lights is actually more protected than the OEM lights. I was going to unclip one and stick my finger in to see how hot it was after driving to work this morning. But unlike the OEM lights, my finger nails weren't enough!

So I have some LED bulbs with resisters built in, no probs with bulb out warning. tonight I put the same ones in a gti and they through a code?? Mine as you can see is a '10' golf wagon, the gti is '10' as well. Differences are gti has xenons and R tails. Could it be a coding thing? Has got me stumped!"67 Combi" "2010 Golf Wagon - 118tsi - DSG - 17" Visions - Bluetooth - Tint "

Corey, I noticed that also - the clip sits much further in, guessing you need a flathead to be able to remove them?
