Point taken Corey, however i was asking in relation to the post immediately before, i.e.:

I just did my tail/ brake/reverse and rear indicators with LEDs tonight
Once you start you can't stop! Only thing left that is oem now are front indicators and I think I'll leave them as is.
Let us know how you go?!

Mine arrived today aswell - I tihnk we bought from the same guy on eBay? Hopefully I'll get to do mine tonight - plus I get to test out my new camera lens. LOL.

I like it. It is bright but not crazy bright if that is what you are worried about. Looks much better without my clumsy cover-up-the-plate paper thingy.

That looks awesome... exactly the look I'm going for! Questions...

1. How hard was the install?

2. Any Errors come up?

3. How much were they and who did you order from? How long did they take to arrive?

I've got LED bulbs arriving soon, but I'm worried they will be too bright and have a possible error message... this might be the way to go!

Now... all you need, is a set of R Tails!

VW Amarok Polo Golf 6 Error Free license plate LED lamp (eBay item 270770285728 end time 21-Jul-11 15:44:12 AEST) : eBay Motors

Quite simple DIY. Remove the original by pressing in on the clip on the right and pulling it out. On the connector, press tab upwards and pull. Plug in the LED ones, tidy up with cable tie, shove everything back up into the cavity, snap it in. Presto.

No errors as far as I can tell. Ebay items is shipped from Taiwan - so about 1 week to arrive.

In the eBay Ad, it looks like there is another box that comes with the kit (see just under "Item Description")... but that box is not shown on the Installation Instructions at the bottom of the page! Did you have to install it as well?

Complete kit is as picture above. Installation instructions is for BMW. For our Golf, I suspect the little box is to get the power consumption exactly right - as per original lights -> no errors.

I use the cable tie provided to tidy the box up so that it is not bouncing all over the cavity.

Man - I might as well write a 50 steps DIY instructions with photos as well

You will figure it out when you do it. I just bundled it up along the main connector wiring - my goal is not to have the box swinging loose on its own.
