Put new shoes on my Golf this morning (18x8 BBS CH Black) - photos to come.
In the meantime here are some photos before the wheel change (17x7 OEM Classixs wheels - ordered with the car).

You guys think it's too high? I'm running OEM GTI springs and shocks...been looking at VW Racing springs from the UK.
On a side note, tonight I measured the height between the top of the tyres and the wheel arches and found that the front right sits lower than the front left by about 5mm, and the rear left sits lower than the rear right also by about 5mm.
