      • Looks good. Cleaning the wheels can be a pain in the bum but the results are always worth it, esp if you get some Tyre Cleaner

Thanks for your comment, it was my trial run before I do some paint and glass sealing etc. (Never washed a car before, so I'm very amateur in that department. Previous car was washed by the rain

Most members on here are talking about Nanolex... is it the best sealant/wax on the market? I saw some other like Autoglym or Zaino, what makes Nanolex better???

Are there any other products that will do the same job but sold locally (and maybe cheaper - I'm not complaining about the price however...)?

If not. I'll be looking at getting Nanolex Glass Sealant Kit Premium & Nanolex Premium Paint Sealant Kit, is that all I would need to apply to make sure paint and glass "rejects" the water on a normal day-to-day basis and getting some protection?

          Thanks

You are about to open up pandoras box here.. the whole Wax v Sealant v Long term paint protection.. before you go splashing money about on expensive product you should do a bit of reading on car detailing to know what you are getting in for and what you want to achieve

Word from the wise.. this can lead to OCD and wax addiction

Is it bad that all I got from this is... 'I've never washed a car before'... It doesn't rain too much in Perth so your old car must've been filthy!

No, I just want to know if you can get the same quality stuff as Nanolex from other brands? Is Autoglym or Zaino any worse than Nanolex ?

                      • Cool - although being picky I would've rearranged the order of the cars

                        How was the show?

                          LOL what's your order?

Motorshow was actually really good, so many cars so little money!

                          • hmmm, from left to right I would've gone Touareg, red GTI, other GTI, then Golf R up close to the camera. I haven't been to the Melbourne Motorshow since ~2003 - maybe I should check it out again. I tend to make do with TopGear (new ones are on in the UK as of last Sunday if you know how to find them, although I'm sure they're only a month away from Ch 9 here).

On second thought it looks like a Tiguan - I'm always confusing them based on size.

                              • Had it for about 12 months now. Just clocked up 7000kms as it isnt used as a daily driver, its saved for weekend and roadtrips. Currently has APR Stage 1 ECU and Stage 1 & 2 Carbonio Carbon intake. Planning on wheels and suspension, then exhaust and intercooler. That'll be it I think.
