Corolla of German cars? Turn it up. Maybe the 77TSI model, but you can hardly call the GTI and R basement. My R retails for just under $70K, and has a year long wait attached to it.. A far cry from an RS250, which costs $49K and which you could walk in and pick up this week.

I didn't mind the Lambo etc comments.. But then again your just being a **** head, cause no one with an R thinks it's a Lambo or a Porsche.. Far from it. I reckon most people kn here are pretty level headed when it comes to what they own.

But then comparing and digging the R compared to substantially lesser car in the megane.. Your obviously just having a silly dig at people like myself who an R.

You can't rip out comments about Lambos and then also bring in the cheaper Megane. It totally undoes any point you were trying to make.. Unless you were infact just being a spiteful idiot.

I'm sorry, but for me the RS250's interior quality and design is worse than a Mazda 3 SP23. It's just nasty.

Edit: VW owns Lambo and 49% of Porsche Let's not forget Bugatti and Bentley.

1. firstly, thank you for directing personal insults my way. now, stephen hawking, you might want to take notice that i said "toyota of germany", not "corolla of germany". my analogy was pointing at mass-produced-car-of-the-people, not "cheap"... didnt you pick that up? you need to eat your weet bix, man.

2. get over it. i dont care if you're disgruntled that you spent $70k on your golf, and it doesnt happen to be the best hatch out there. take a look around, you "spiteful idiot" - seemingly EVERY car review channel on youtube, online magazine, print magazine etc. says that the megane is the best driver's hatch that money can buy. i love VW's just as much as the next guy, but then again maybe im not the kind of "**** head" like YOU who thinks that disorganisation with orders, resulting in extended wait times, somehow results in exclusivity.

3. i never said anyone in here thinks they drive a lambo... i said that sometimes people BEHAVE as if they do. there's a difference, einstein.

im sorry that i bruised your ego. i think the golf r is a friggin awesome car. i also think the gti is an awesome car. i think they both serve their individual markets very well, and they both serve their purposes very well. but R owners making backhanded comments, on a VW forum, about "inferior vehicles" to gti owners? looks like you SUPPORT that, mate, otherwise you wouldnt have posted such a lengthy reply to my one-line post.

Like that makes it any less of an insult to a group of people who obviously enjoy getting a nice car like the R. Further, so because an R costs more than an S3 in England does that make the R the AUDI of Australia? Irrelevant point from you there.

It is the best Hatch out there. Top Gear thinks so. I think so. People waiting a year think so. So I completely disagree with you there.
