A little, but overall im happy with the GTI.

Different change going from manual and rear drive to dsg and front wheel drive.

Miss the power, but like the comfort and hassle free of not changing gears

Well I am going from the opposite end of the spectrum, a very comfortable low powered AWD which I love but crave some performance and german engineering.. I figured the Sylvia was your pride and joy and giving it up for something not so attention grabbing might have been a big change

i think it will look a lot nicer if lowered with those width and offset.

will do its on stock struts and springs atm, H&R SS coilovers are coming over soonish. was a very nice day today so thought id go out and grab a few piccies.

Yeah - the GruppeM is awesome. The only problem is the price... considering the complaints against some of the Australian aftermarket part prices, not many people decide to go and spend 50% extra than THAT to go get the GruppeM...

Well its $810 AUD online, compared to say the APR one which is $595.

For an extra $215, it looks alright. Much better looking kit the GruppeM, and it fits that little bit nicer. The APR kit is still nice, definitely, but if you want the stuff that is the shiznit, the GruppeM is the way to go no questions I reckon.

If your ok with spending $600, I cant see $810 killing you.

I think the extra 50% your referring to applies in the US where the APR intake is only $267US at the moment (as per APR website).

Am I alone in thinking this? Which intake do you like?

Aah... GruppeM is coming down in price, unless you've forgotten to add the shipping from Japan. The last person I know to get one spent about AUD$965 by the time it was landed.
(APR is already in Australia and with local dealerships in each state, so no shipping).

i love the GruppeM intake, i'd consider spending the $1000
but when i see it in the MKVI engine bay, it looks like it doesn't fit correctly...
there's a 1inch gap between the top edge, and the headlight bracket.
Is this because Gruppe M used the MKV design to cut costs, or is this an intentional gap?

i make use of the gap to easily check if the intake and inner housing are clean or not :p

On their site it says it's a new design specially for the MKVI, though it's very hard to tell from the images, they look almost exactly the same.

Max size they make without going custom is 18" for 5x112

my wheel specs are 18" x 8" +48.. and they're light each rim around 7.8kgs

Verry nice..Toughest wheel on earth after the RZD-F IMO, looks purposefull! Would you be able to PM me wher you got them? Wheel shopping at moment

Sucks the 19" are so wide, doubt they'd fit. I'd love a set in the dark grey!

Yep was thinking about the RZD-F but your literally paying double the price of the RZ.. around 4.4k and that does not include shipping.. crazy stuff

i got this one coming, ordered in Feb, hopefully soon but the earthquake has caused some delay. hopefully they won't glow in the dark because of the nuclear reactors..
