And SUV's have a far higher roll-over risk, which is not even tested in the crash tests in Australia (though, the Tiguan is exception in the USA NHTSA results). The USA do rollover testing already simply because in the land of the SUV, rollovers are one of their leading forms of death.
In Australia, accidents in SUV's are 10 times more likely to result in a fatality. And probably surprisingly to most SUV owners, the result isn't always in their favour. SUV to SUV crashes are also of big concern, simply because of the added weight compared to comparably sized (interior I mean) passenger cars.

As I said, the Tiguan is actually exceptional for an SUV in weight and safety and is relatively small in size compared to some, but yeah. But anyway - that's going way off topic. As unlikely as it is that someone would cancel their R order for a Scirocco, cancelling an R order for a Tiguan is just un-possible! hehe

mate, if the scirocco comes to australia, i feel sorry for anyone who was in denial that it IS NOT a better car than the .:R. well... at least in reviews, and on race tracks, and on recently changed opinions about all of a sudden 5 doors are an essential for the hatch format....

p.s. can i take requests? i never got pm'd.... i speak japanese, and i can translate the video of japan F1 drivers around tsukuba, describing how the rocco is superior to the .:R....

Avoiding things? The Golf R is 7 secs faster around the 'Ring than the Scirocco. Most would say that it is the ultimate benchmarking race track in the world.

It was the same driver who set the times in both cars.

PS congrats on the second language, but I personally don't need any translating on what I just wrote. And the best drivers in the world are not japanese. That's for sure.

if we are looking at the rocco R vs the golf R, i believe it is the golf that is actually slower by just over a second. just a more accurate apples for apples comparison.
